1930 US Census for genealogical research:

1930 Federal Population Census is one the most popular sources to determine individual's family history. In fact census records help to figure out racial category of ancestors, their movement to USA and other genealogy relevant information. Many genealogists begin research work typically with census records, as the information is recorded at a specific time and location. The enumerators of 1930 census however asked questions about employment and unemployment because of the Great Depression caused in 1929.

Until the release of 1940 Census on April 2, 2012, 1930 census was the most recently released census information available to general public. It is a milestone to step backward and dig family history statistics.
